Discord: AI settings for parents

No built-in AI chatbot today, but servers can add AI bots. Family Center has no AI switch.

Can a parent turn it off? No parent off switch

No. Family Center has no switch for AI apps or bots. You can turn on safety filters and a few data settings, and teens are blocked from age-restricted app commands.

What the AI feature is

Discord no longer has its own AI chatbot. Its old one, Clyde, was shut down in 2023. But server owners can add “apps” (bots), and some of these are AI chatbots or image makers. Discord also uses AI to estimate whether a user is a teen.
